What is Baby Voice Recorder?
Baby Voice Recorder is a wearable voice recorder for babies and toddlers. Your child wears a small, soft device. It listens for the words and short phrases they actually say, keeps them as short audio clips, and sends them to an app on your phone.
It is not a baby monitor and not a camera. It records voice only. The filtering happens on the device, so what leaves it is your child speaking — not the room, not your conversations.
What you end up with is a dated record of how your child learned to talk: new words as they appear, with the audio of them saying it.

What is a baby voice recorder?
A baby voice recorder is a device that captures a young child's speech so it can be kept and listened to years later. Most parents try to do this with a phone, which means recording only on the occasions they remember to. Baby Voice Recorder is worn by the child and is already listening, so the first words are not the ones that get missed.
How is this different from recording on my phone?
A phone records when an adult decides to press record. First words rarely arrive on cue — they happen while you are cooking, driving, or holding something else. A worn recorder means the clip already exists by the time you realise it mattered.
Is Baby Voice Recorder a baby monitor?
No. A baby monitor streams a room so you can check on a sleeping child right now. Baby Voice Recorder keeps short clips of what your child said, so you can hear them again in ten years. Different job, different device.
Does it record everything happening in the room?
No. Filtering runs on the device and only your child's voice is kept. Conversations around them are not stored.
Who can hear the recordings?
Only you. Clips are encrypted and tied to your account. You can delete an individual clip, or your entire account, at any time.
What age is it for?
Roughly 0 to 4 — from first laughs and babble through to full sentences. The vocabulary tracking is most useful between about 9 months and 3 years.
How much does it cost, and when can I buy one?
It is still in development, so there is no price yet. Waitlist members hear first, get early access, and get a launch-day perk.
Can this tell me if my child's speech is delayed?
No. Baby Voice Recorder is not a medical or diagnostic device, and it does not assess development. It keeps a record of what your child said. If anything about your child's speech concerns you, please talk to your pediatrician or a speech-language professional.
Can I compare my child with other children?
No, and we don't plan to add that. There is no percentile and no score. The app only shows your own child's words over time. The normal range at this age is very wide, and comparison rarely helps anyone.
